Finding free images

Are you struggling to find images for your website pages, website articles or blog? One way to find images at no cost is to find images that are available for use under the Creative Commons license. There are several license types available under the creative commons license however the "attribution by" license permits images to be used for free, even for commercial use. You can go to google.com and perform an advanced image search to find images that meet this criteria or you can also do a search on Flickr.

One challenge that you will have when using these search tools is finding high quality images. In fact it may be hard to find an image at all because so many of the images are poorly tagged. An alternative website that provides free commercial images is Pure Creative Commons at purecreativecommons.com.  This site provides creative commons images.

When using a creative commons image it is customary (and required) that you provide proper attribution to the image author by using the link that they provide. An example image and link is provided below to illustrate how this is done.
